We Are Now Open with Limited Rooms

We are open for business as of May 15th, 2020 with limited room space for social distancing. To keep our guests happy and safe we sanitize the Inn regularly with a "Green Disinfectant" being sure to clean light switches, door knobs, lamps and railings. Our bed coverings are treated and dried on high heat after each use for safety. We provide hand sanitizer, gloves and masks for use in our public indoor areas. Breakfast is served to the room at no additional charge or in our dining rooms or outdoor deck (weather permitting) with appropriate distancing. Rest assured that we are doing everything possible to keep our guests safe during this time.

For take out Dinners we have outdoor tables around the property for your enjoyment.

FOLLOWING GOVERNOR ANDREW CUOMO'S ANNOUNCEMENT THAT ALL NON LIFE SUSTAINING NY BUSINESSES MUST CLOSE ON 3/19, THE INN AT STONY CREEK IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED.

WE WILL REOPEN AS SOON AS THE CLOSURE ORDER IS LIFTED, WHICH WE HOPE WILL BE IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS.

WE WILL RESPOND TO CANCELLATION REQUESTS ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS AND WILL REACH OUT TO SCHEDULED GUSTS AS THEIR RESERVATION DATE APPROCHES WE SINCERELY HOPE WE CAN HONOR ALL EXISTING RESERVATIONS.

What’s the best part of a Hudson Valley autumn?

It has to be the incredible colors of the changing leaves. If you’re planning a visit to the beautiful Hudson Valley in the fall, finding the perfect view of the foliage is an absolute must.

We’ve assembled some of our favorite places to get the ultimate view of of a fall color palette as far as the eye can see. Here you’ll find incredible perspectives of these vibrantly colored trees and since chilly weather is coming late this year, there’s still plenty of opportunities to soak in the scenery before it’s time to welcome winter.

Walkway Over the Hudson

There’s no better view of the river valley quite like the one you’ll find on the Walkway. The Walkway gives spectators a bird’s eye view of the trees winding along each side of the river and as far as the eye can see.

Hudson

The ride to Hudson is dotted with some of the most incredible fall trees you can think of. It’s a short drive away from the Inn and is home to an amazing restaurant and boutique scene. On you way you’ll pass through rolling hills with farms, open fields and more.

Shawangunk Mountains

New Paltz is a Hudson Valley fall fan favorite and it doesn’t get more breathtaking than the Shawangunk ridge. Start in New Paltz and then head west on Route 299 toward the Shawangunk Mountains. Turn right onto Routes 44/55 and climb into the ‘Gunks. As you ascend, after the hairpin turn, gaze east and you can take in a glorious, expansive view of the Hudson Valley, in all its autumn glory, that has been drawing visitors to Ulster County for generations.

Bear Mountain

When it comes to river views and fall foliage, views from the Bear Mountain bridge are absolutely gorgeous. The scenery is so breathtaking, there’s scenic parking areas along the winding, bear mountain road so you can get the perfect photo.

Letchworth State Park

Known as the “Grand Canyon of the East,” Letchworth State Park is home to waterfalls and plunging gorges. Walk the Gorge Trail to see how it earned its nickname, and if you’re feeling adventurous, go whitewater rafting on the Genesee River where you’ll go through the heart of the canyon.

Whatever location you choose to get your fall fix, the Hudson Valley has you covered.

Top Hudson Valley Wineries With Incredible Fall Views

If the Hudson Valley is known for anything, it’s definitely their amazing autumn scenery.

It’s no mistake that visitors flock to the Hudson Valley to see the rolling hills in the valley transform into their fall colors. The whole landscape seems to ignite with bright yellow, orange and red, making these beautiful views a little extra special.

Some of the wineries in our area are famous for their vineyard views and if you’re planning a weekend getaway with us this fall, a tour or tasting at one of these vineyards should definitely make your list.

Benmarl

In nearby Marlboro, Benmarl Winery has a view of the river valley that will leave you breathless. Not only are there plenty of autumn trees to see on the property as you sip your way through a fleet of delicious wines, the main attraction is the river view and is home to wedding ceremonies, proposals and more. Benmarl also features a variety of events festivals through the season that are a must for an autumn weekend getaway.

Robibero

With their modern tasting room and impressive flight of wines to sample, Robibero is always a fan favorite. What makes their winery truly a fall destination is their huge covered porch overlooking the winery below. The view is outstanding and with comfy tables and chairs, the porch is the perfect place to enjoy that brand new bottle.

Whitecliff

Whitecliff is a beautiful winery nestled in the foothills of Gardiner . The property is stunning and it’s absolutely surrounded by changing leaves and plenty of space to sprawl out for a picnic lunch. This is also a pet friendly winery if you are traveling with your pup in tow.

Millbrook

Apple Fest

Warwick is the unofficial “apple country” of New York and each year we host a massive AppleFest that draws visitors from all over. There’s over 200 different food and craft vendors to enjoy as well as a carnival for kids, live music and more.

Taste of Warwick

There’s no better way to immerse yourself in the culture of the Hudson Valley quite like a local festival. The Taste of Warwick festival is an incredible assortment of different vendors, craftsmen and artists that draw their inspiration from the beautiful Warwick area. Sample treats and drinks that are 100% delicious and 100% local. The Taste of Warwick Festival simply can’t be missed.

Hudson Valley Harvest Festival

If you’re setting out for an authentic autumn New York experience, the Harvest Festival should make your list. Enjoy local produce, treats and snacks from different vendors and the opportunity to select that perfect pumpkin for your front step. This quaint festival continues to grow and it supports a great community initiative to preserve our local agricultural efforts.

O+ Festival

This collection of 20+ installation murals and performing artists gather each year to raise funds for traveling performers and artists to gain access to lower cost healthcare. The Kingston festival is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the nonproft O+ , which empowers communities to take control of their collective well being through the exchange of “the art of medicine for the medicine of art.” From music to food specials , Kingston comes alive each year with an outstanding collection of talent.
